Damn you Apple!

*Shakes fist at Mr Jobs*
*Shakes fist at tax man*

Damn you!

I was quite happy with my iPhone 3GS – I am quite happy with my 3GS…
We just did our tax, and we're getting money back.  A good amount back.  Hooray, right?

So, Couch, spa heating, irrigation system for the garden, some bills, and… the rest split down the middle between Don and I.
That got me to the question of "what do I want?"
I've looked around, I have a great desktop for gaming, and a great laptop that I use for everything else.
I thought "hmmm, what about the iPad?" but I looked at it, and decided it would almost certainly stay in its box after the initial playing with it.

and then there's the new iPhone…
when I got my first iPhone, I got rid of my Nokia N95… a good phone!  The best feature was its camera – 5 Megapixel.  That was the hardest thing for me to figure out, could I deal with the 1.2-2.1 MP Camera on the iPhone 3G (and later the 3GS)  With the new iPhone, I would have the phone I *really* wanted all along – with the benefit of hugs amounts more 3G coverage than I get now.  And it's now playing on my mind, despite the fact that I don't *need* the new iPhone.  Fine, I want to succumb, I'm on contract, so I need to buy outright, but what's the price?  It's due to go on sale in stores tomorrow, but apple *still* hasn't released an outright price on the Apple store.

All I want is a price to figure out whether I can afford it or not! (and then for the refund to appear in my account)  But no, Apple has old sucker me checking their site for a price regularly.

*mumble mumble*

even worse?  I still want it!

Baketastic Biscuits!

1. Dear Heather.  Still not registered in Australia, so screw you.

2. I've been baking Chocolate Biscuits!

3/4 Cup Caster Sugar
185g Butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 Egg
2 Cups Plain Flour
1/4 cup cocoa

Preheat oven to 180 C
Beat Sugar, Butter & Essence until light, and creamy
Beat in the egg
Sift the Flour and Cocoa over the top and stir in with a wooden spoon.

Once it's all mixed in nicely, you've got options.

You could roll it out and cut it or, if you're like me and don't have a cookie cutter.  (plans to remedy that, btw) Roll the mixture into balls like so:

Flatten them with a fork:

Sorry, couldn't help myself there… teehee
Ahem, they'll wind up like this:

Bake 'em in the oven for 10-12 minutes and put them on a wire rack to cool immediately after they're cooked.

I'm in the process of experimenting with different icings to put on to make "sandwiches" out of them.  I tried to do a turkish delight version last night, but Rosewater essence doesn't work for that, unfortunately.  I'm thinking maybe orange?  But they're really nice as is too.

Enjoy!

TFC – I haven't tried brown sugar in these – let me know if it's worthwhile 😉
